Be part of a global event on September 15, 2012 at the Marian Koshland Science Museum in Washington, DC where one hundred citizens from Maryland, Virginia, and DC will attend a deliberation on biodiversity issues. We are seeking diverse perspectives to explore the trade-offs of implementing various alternative policies at both the national and international level. Join in as citizens from more than 30 nations learn about and discuss these potential policies: see:
http://biodiversity.wwviews.org/. Add your voice to the process of global environmental governance and discuss the social, economic, cultural, and ecological implications of biodiversity loss.

APPLY NOW to join in this important conversation and make recommendations that will inform policy discussions at the United Nations Biodiversity convention in October and inform policy maker decisions here in the United States. One hundred citizens from across Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland will be chosen to participate. An application is required to attend this program.

Please apply by July 31 at
http://tinyurl.com/worldwideviewsdc to participate in the deliberation. Eligible participants will receive compensation for their time. Please contact dtomblin@vt.eduwith questions.

The World Wide Views Washington DC alliance has been formed through partnerships between the Consortium for Science, Policy and Outcomes (CSPO) at Arizona State University, Department of Science and Technology in Society (STS) at Virginia Tech, National Capitol Region and the Koshland Science Museum.
