Visiting Assistant Professor or Lecturer The Departments of Anthropology and Geography at SUNY-Geneseo invite applications for a shared, full-time, temporary, Visiting Assistant Professor or Lecturer position from January, 2013 through May, 2014. Availability of the position is subject to final budgetary approval.
We seek either: 1) A Medical Anthropologist or Medical Geographer 2) An Environmental Anthropologist or Political Ecology trained Geographer, or 3) An Anthropologist or Geographer specializing in Agriculture or Food
PhD in one of these fields is required. ABD considered. This individual must be able to contribute to coursework in both Anthropology and Geography. The ability to teach at least one introductory-level course in either Anthropology or Geography, and upper-level courses in both departments, is required (please see Anthropology and Geography curricula at http://www.geneseo.edu/bulletin/bulletin). The successful candidate will be encouraged to offer or develop upper-level coursework in their specialty. The candidate will be expected to carry a 3/3 teaching load.
