Hello,
I am doctoral student in Anthropology at the University of South Florida, and I am writing you to share some information about a summer field school which our department will be hosting in summer 2011. The field school will be held in Monteverde, Costa Rica, and it will focus on community-based health research, with a strong emphasis on mixed-methods. It is a greatopportunity for upper-level undergraduates and graduate students. This 10-week field school will run from May 30-August 8 and will feature five weeks of classes and five weeks of structured research.
Attached to this email you will find a flyer with more information. Questions can also be directed to one of the field school directors, Dr. David Himmelgreen at dhimmelg@cas.usf.edu. I also attended the school in 2008 and was the graduate assistant in 2010, so students can also contact me with any questions.
I would really appreciate it if you could circulate this among your students, and feel free to forward this information widely.
Thank you very much for your time. Best wishes, Ô Ô Ô Ô Ô Ô Ô Ô Charlotte A. Noble, MPH Global Health Doctoral student, Department of Anthropology University of South Florida 4202 E. Fowler Avenue, SOC 107 Tampa, FL 33620-8100 USA
