WETLAND AWARENESS AND WATERBIRD CENSUS

Pariej, 22-23 Dec. 2012

         

We are happy to announce two-days birdwatching and awareness programme on wetlands of Kheda district. These wetlands of Central Gujarat are less explored by the birders. They are seasonal wetlands and close to Gulf of Khambhat. Hence, the bird-life is rich.

Programme:

Reporting at Ecotourism Center, Pariej, Ta: Matar, Dist: Kheda

Date 22.12.12

• Reporting: and Tea-break 07.30 to 08:30 hrs
• Census at : Pariej and birding: 09:00 to 13:30
• Lunch at Pariej 13:30 hrs
• Visit to Narda and Naghrama wetlands
• Dinner and night halt at Pariej camp site  

Date 23.12.12

• Birding at Wank-Daloli wetland
• Lunch at Pariej at 13.30 hrs
• Birding at Tarakpur/Kanewal wetland
• Departure at 17:00 hrs

Þ Diary, Birding book, Pen, Cap, shoes, binoculars, Sleeping bag / bedding as per your requirements, torch and first aid will be useful.

 

Registration Fees:

Rs. 400/- (Food, Campsite Accommodation & local transport during 22-23rd December)

Rs. 600-00 for BCSG non-members.

The fees may be sent to the Contact Persons (shown below) in Cash, DD or At par cheque in favour of "Bird Conservation Society, Gujarat" payable at Anand.

 

Last Date for Registration: 18.12.2012

Seats: Max. 40 on first-come-first bases.

 

How to reach Pariej?

From Ahmedabad:

Ahmedabad-Kheda-Matar-Pariej on Kheda-Tarapur State Highway (By Car Approximately 65  km)

From Tarapur: 7 km: From Kheda: 25 km

Local transport such as diesel rickshaws are available at regular frequency from Tarapur and Kheda/Limbasi

 

From Vadodara:

Vadodara-Borsad-Tarapur-Pariej (By Car approx 70 km)

Any public transport from Vadodara to Tarapur. Local transport such as diesel rickshaws are available at regular frequency from Tarapur to Pariej.
