FFA-USP FISHERIES POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
The University of the South Pacific (USP) is pleased to announce the availability of one fully-funded postgraduate scholarship, commencing in 2011 at one of three universities in Japan - Kagoshima University, University of the Ryukyus, and Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology. The FFA-USP Fisheries Postgraduate Scholarship Programme is funded by the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) through its collaboration with the Overseas Fishery Cooperation Foundation of Japan.
Eligibility:
・ Applicants must be a Pacific Islands national.
・ Restricted to Masters or PhD studies in the field of fisheries management and development.
・ Applicants must have a first degree or postgraduate diploma with an average GPA of 3.5 (B+) and above, or a Masters degree. Applicants with exceptional work experience in the field of fisheries management and development may also be considered.
・ Applicants must have or be able to obtain an 'offer of enrolment' from any of the three above-mentioned universities. To assess the likelihood of obtaining an 'offer of enrolment' from any of the three universities, applicants may send relevant application documents for any of the three universities to USP prior to applying for the scholarship. Applicants who have existing communication channels with the universities may contact them directly in order to obtain an 'offer of enrolment'.
Benefits:
Each scholarship will cover tuition, travel, living expenses (stipend), book allowance and medical insurance. No additional funds are available for accompanying dependents.

copies of degrees, transcripts, proof of citizenship, evidence of university admission,
