Ethical Expeditions is partnering with the Wehea Dayak community, local government and local NGOs in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, Borneo, to protect the 38,000 ha Wehea Forest. We are seeking a research partner to begin developing a comprehensive ethnoecological study, commencing in the summer of 2011. A complete biodiversity study of the unexplored Wehea Forest is also planned for this time. Both studies will be designed with community involvement at all levels and are the first phase of Ethical Expeditions' long term commitment to Wehea.

For a description of the study geared toward participating students, please see the National Geographic Action Atlas site.

If this sparks your interest, please contact me directly.
