Energy Policy Officer / Senior Policy Officer

The UK and Europe are on the brink of a renewable energy revolution. Your job will be to ensure the RSPB is helping deliver this whilst ensuring birds and wildlife are protected. You'll lead on European energy policy issues, project manage and deliver a major project with European BirdLife partners that will establish our common approach to renewable energy, and lead our engagement with the pan-European Renewable Grid Initiative. You should have relevant experience in the energy, climate change and/or conservation field and a degree in a relevant discipline. You will also need excellent project management and verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to organise a heavy, diverse and unpredictable workload. Some travel within the UK and Europe will be required. This is a one-year contract and is funded through a grant from the European Climate Foundation.

Salary

£24,000 - £31,000 pa (Externally Funded)
