As part of our efforts to more effectively disseminate results and increase awareness about the current issues in biocultural diversity, the BDLN has created the Biocultural Diversity Planet news site. This site, accessible through the BDLN home page under "BCD News", is a clearinghouse for up-to-the-minute news feeds from around the world. The site features a rotating "highlighted topics" section, complete with graph and world map, so one can see the number of articles published about a topic within the past two weeks as well as where in the world these news events are taking place. Any suggestions for appropriate feeds to add to the site are gladly accepted and can be sent to outreach@globaldiversityfund.net. We are particularly interested in featuring non- commercial feeds that may have difficuty reaching a wider audience.
